About Me:
I'm passionate about advocating for children's mental health, literacy and well-being.
I've always known I wanted to work with children, and that calling was amplified by parenting my own kids, 21 year-old Rebecca and 16 year-old Jacob.
I have been a teacher for over 8 years. Nothing makes me happier than knowing I have made a difference in the lives of my students. Right now, I am teaching junior kindergarten.An expert in advocating for children with special needs, I founded The Selectively Silent Child in 1999 to aid parents in helping their children cope with childhood anxiety.
I specialize in consulting with parents whose children are ages 3-7 and seek help with anxiety, autism and/or academic difficulty.
